Curtin University Professional Development Award Winners 2016

Associate Professor Daniel Gucciardi, School of Physiotherapy and Exercise Science

Daniel is an Associate Professor in the School of Physiotherapy and Exercise Science, Curtin University where he teaches and researches in the areas of health, exercise and sport psychology. He will use the funding the attending the ISSP 14th World Congress in Sevilla, the premier conference in the field of sport and exercise psychology. He will apply for a position on the Managing Council of the society, contributing to the managing council would provide unique knowledge of the society that would be invaluable for the development of a bid to host a future congress in Perth.

Dr Kylie Coulson, Adjunct Professor, School of Accounting

Dr Coulson is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Accounting in the Curtin Business School. Her current research focuses on public sector governance and accountability, with particular interests in public finance, parliamentary accountability and international development. She will use the award to travel and present research papers at the following two conferences; Commonwealth Association of Public Administration Management (CAPAM) 2016 and International Institute of Public Finance (IIPF) 2016 and meet with organisers at each conference to enquire about the process for bidding for a future conference in Perth.
