Paul Beeson

Chief Executive Officer

Paul Beeson

Since 2011, Paul has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Perth Convention Bureau. Prior to this, as Director of Business Development, his work was instrumental in re-aligning PCB’s business methodology to deliver record business events outcomes for the social and economic benefit of all Western Australians.    

Paul's background lies in pharmaceutical and tourism sector brand management and marketing both nationally and internationally. Significant to this work was the development and management of ‘Brand WA’, State branding in 1997.

Deakin University Melbourne and post-graduate studies at The University of Western Australia, INSEAD Fontainebleau & Singapore campuses, Cambridge University, Harvard University Boston and Stanford University San Francisco have refined his corporate knowledge base.

Paul serves on the Advisory Board for the School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University, and previously sat on the Boards of the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation – Sail Training Ship Leeuwin II Fremantle and Rowing Western Australia.

Executive Assistant/Company Secretary

Liz Wessels

Liz has been with PCB for 12 years and provides executive operational support to PCB's Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors, as well as undertaking Company Secretary responsibilities for the organisation. Liz enjoys all the varying aspects of her role which range from Board management, coordinating functions, overseeing information technology, strategic planning and risk management.

Away from the office she enjoys windsurfing, snow-skiing, playing tennis, cooking and snapping her camera at every opportunity!

Executive Director Stakeholder Relations

Tracey Cinavas-Prosser

Tracey hails from Guernsey in the Channel Islands and has lived in Perth for twelve years. She has more than twenty five years’ experience in both the tourism and events industries. She prides herself on her destinational knowledge and continues to improve this at every opportunity.

Tracey's key responsibilities at the Bureau include managing the relationship with our major partners and over two hundred active members, the Aspire Program which generates in excess of $30 million of leads per year, PCB's familiarisation program and national tradeshows. Tracey is a current committee member for ATEC WA and a board member of MAPTO.

Gareth Martin

Executive Director Business Development

Gareth Martin

Gareth has overall responsibility for management of business development activities undertaken by PCB. He has previous experience in senior business development and corporate affairs roles within the pharmaceutical and resource sectors.

Gareth has travelled extensively but loves that Western Australia is home. He enjoys leisure time with his young family and getting out for a few waves when there's some surf.

Trish McKay

Executive Director Corporate Services

Trish McKay

Trish is responsible for Corporate Services - including managing PCB's finances and the human resource aspects of PCB such as payroll, staff training and development.

An industry all-rounder, Trish also brings a broad range of tourism and hospitality experience to her role having worked with PCOs and in hotels. Trish likes spending time with her family and travelling, aiming to see all Seven Wonders of the World.

Anna Kultan

Anna is originally from Prague, Czech Republic and migrated to Perth in 2012. Her business development experience extends through global hotel brands and academic sector in the Czech Republic as well as in Western Australia. In addition she has developed expertise in event planning, loyalty club management and marketing supported by completion of a Bachelor degree in marketing communication. With a love of camping and exploring all corners of Western Australia, Anna is enthusiastic about promoting our State as a destination for business tourism.

Amy Hallam

Senior Business Development Manager 

Amy Hallam

Amy joined the PCB team in December 2016 and is responsible for bidding and securing large scale international conferences. Amy has extensive business development skills and understanding of working with local, state and federal government. Amy has recently returned to her home town of Perth after living in China for six years, during this time she attained professional fluency in Mandarin.

Amy enjoys dancing and exploring Western Australia during the wildflower season.

Becky Riley

As a member of the Business Development Team, Becky is responsible for developing bid strategies to secure national & international association conferences in WA. Having completed a Bachelor in Events Management she moved over to Perth from the UK in 2013 and has fallen in love with the many natural experiences our diverse state has to offer.

In her spare time Becky likes to spend her weekends enjoying a leisurely breakfast by the beach and soaking up the sunshine.

Nicolle Davey

Nicolle Davey

Nicolle is responsible for bidding and securing national and international conference business from the association and corporate sectors. Nicolle has extensive experience in business development in the business events industry with over 13 years in the convention centre and hotel industry.

Nicolle enjoys travel and spending time on the weekends with her family and friends and at the beach.

Clinton Barnes

Clinton Barnes

Clinton has over 15 years in the hotel industry, previously working in Events, Food & Beverage and Sales & Marketing. During his hospitality career, Clinton has experienced a hotel re-brand and hotel opening which brings him to a new challenge in tourism. With a Bachelor of Business, double major in Marketing and International Business, Clinton’s experience has lead him to join Perth Convention Bureau. Clinton’s key responsibility at the Bureau is to grow the C&I visitors to Perth, Western Australia. He enjoys family time and loves to watch sports. 

Caroline Tseu

Support Manager - Corporate & Incentive

Caroline Tseu

Caroline joined PCB in 2016 and is a member of the Corporate and Incentives team. Her role in the PCB is to grow the C&I business in Western Australia. Caroline is multilingual and fluent in Chinese (verbal and written). Prior to joining the PCB, Caroline worked in the Resource Sector.

Caroline is a keen coffee drinker. She loves to kick start her work day with a cup of coffee. On the weekend, she enjoys spending time with her family at different cafés over a cup of coffee.  She aspires to become a coffee blogger at her retirement.

Ellyce joined PCB in early 2015 and is a member of the Business Development Team. She completed a diploma in events management and has previously worked in the corporate events industry organising a variety of business events. 

Ellyce has lived in Perth her whole life and enjoys soaking up the sun and keeping active over the weekends.

Mitchel McCuish

Having moved to Perth in recent years from a regional WA country town, Mitchel completed a Diploma in Event Management graduating with a Certificate of Excellence in Events. Prior to joining PCB Mitchel had been working as an Event Technician doing Audio Visual and Lighting for Corporate Events. Mitchel enjoys spending his weekends exploring Perth bars and restaurants. 

Malcolm Farrell-Mitchell

Malcolm Farrell-Mitchell 

Malcolm is originally from Albany and has lived all over Western Australia. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Events Management and a postgraduate degree in International Marketing. He is currently doing research into the economic impact of international students.

Also a member of the Business Development team, Malcolm is responsible for developing bid strategies to secure national & international association conferences in WA. In his spare time Malcolm fosters rescue dogs and travels anywhere and everywhere he can.

Membership Manager 

Jacqui Roberts

Jacqui joined PCB in 2011 whilst she completed her Commerce degree, majoring in Public Relations & Advertising with a minor in Tourism Management. As Membership Manager she is responsible for recruiting and retaining PCB members, planning member educational and networking events, organising and hosting client familiarisation tours, assisting with the production of PCB collateral and other relative tasks. 

Jacqui likes to spend her weekends uncovering Perth's vibrant multicultural food and wine scene.

Communications Manager 

Sophia Okeby

Sophia joined the PCB team in June 2014 and supports the Stakeholder Relations department with trade shows, website content, producing PCB's newsletter and other communication activities. Sophia has marketing experience in the Industrial Services and Engineering industries. She completed a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing at the University of Western Australia. Prior to joining PCB she spent a year teaching English in South Korea.

Sophia enjoys exploring Perth's growing culinary and cultural scene.

Anja Sandmann

Destination Support Manager

Anja Sandmann

Anja is originally from Germany and enjoys the multicultural city of Perth.  She received her Bachelor degree in Sport Management, majoring in Event Management at Edith Cowan University in 2016.

As the Destination Support Manager for the Bureau, Anja assists the business development team with site inspections. She also liaises with clients who have confirmed national and international business events for WA, providing them with promotional material for their delegates. Anja likes to spend her weekends exploring the beautiful beaches and enjoys a swim in the ocean.

Smiti Shah

Smiti joined the PCB team in 2014 and has many years of bookkeeping experience. Her background includes working for an Accounting Practice as well as various companies across different industries.

Smiti has lived in Perth for 25 years and says she would not live anywhere else! She likes to enjoy a good cup of coffee and a nice glass of wine, and one of the many reasons Smiti loves Perth is the Western Australian wineries and Perth’s close proximity to the beautiful South West region.
