  • Power of Music: The 34th National Conference of the Musicological Society of Australia and the 2nd International Conference on Music and Emotion

The conference was a great success and attracted international delegates from over 25 different countries. The support of the Perth Convention Bureau was greatly appreciated by the organising committee and contributed to the success of the event.

  • Australian Conference of Science and Medicine in Sport (ACSMS) 2011

"This year’s 2011 Australian Conference of Science and Medicine in Sport in the historic town of Fremantle was a huge success. The Conference proved to be a wonderful showcase of some of the great academic and clinical work which is taking place in Australia and abroad in the sports medicine and science, and physical activity promotion fields. Feedback received from all attendees was overwhelmingly positive. The funding from PCB enabled us to invite International Keynote speakers which we would not have been able to do without that level of support."

  • 2011 Information Technology Service Management Forum Australia (itSMFA) National Conference

"Perth was a surprisingly successful destination that gave WA delegates an opportunity to experience our conference and become regular delegates. The PCB staff were very friendly and professional in helping us achieve this result for which we thank you."

  • Australian Liquor Stores Association National Conference 2011

"The team at the Perth Convention Bureau offered a wealth of knowledge and were a pleasure to work with. They paid close attention to our specific needs and requirements, and presented us with a range of well researched options for us to consider, and as ALSA runs the conference internally and with no assistance from a PCO, this saved us much needed time and resources. From PCB’s receipt of our initial enquiry, to preparing their bid document and coordinating proposals from venues and suppliers; to putting together our site inspection itinerary; to providing a quantity of promotional material and collateral to help promote the destination – every little bit helped in making the ALSA Conference in Perth the success it was. Perth is a fantastic destination to hold a conference. It has plenty to offer any conference delegate – good accommodation options, a broad range of unique off-site venues, and great pre & post touring options."

  • XVII International Congress for Carboniferous and Permian

In early July 2011, we held a very successful congress and many delegates said to me that the Perth meeting was the best ICCP event that they have ever attended. To receive this positive feedback is the highest award for us. The total number of delegates was 204 which were from 26 countries. The delegate number was slightly higher than previously expected.

  • Australian Marine Sciences Association Conference 2011

Our conference in WA had the most delegates to ever attend an AMSA conference and all of our attendees were very complimentary. The venue was also fantastic and there were plenty of staff at all of our functions.

  • 11th National Rural Health Conference

Perth and the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre provided an excellent place to hold our event. Perth was beautiful, the weather superb and lots of interesting things for delegates to see/do. The Convention Centre and its staff were fantastic. It was easy to get around, beautiful views, great food and excellent service. I would definitely recommend Perth to others. Thank you.

  • 8th International Conference on Managing Fatigue in Transportation, Resources and Health

We received excellent feedback from delegates regarding both the program and the conference. One international keynote speaker commented on how he wished he and his wife had longer to stay in Perth and see what it had to offer. He said that the hospitality was truly outstanding and that they were made to feel most welcomed. The conference itself exceeded his expectations and now understands why colleagues have repeatedly talked about their participation in previous gatherings.

  • The 35th Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA) National Conference, Medicines Management 2009 ('Accross the Divide')

Everything went really well, the PCEC were great from all aspects. The PCB were also fantastic when assisting with site inspections, delegate promotion providing material and responding to any enquiries. The City of Perth were also great with material supplied and the kiosk provided at the conference. I look forward to when the next opportunity arises that will allow me to work in Perth again.
