“We initiated preparation for the Conference in early 2011 and advertised the Conference at the 4th Conference in the series in mid-2011. We liaised with the Australian Water Association (head office in Sydney) for the organisation of the conference. We also liaised with the Water Corporation of Western Australia for technical tour organisation. Delegates were very impressed with the technical tours and provided very positive feedback. Locally, Perth Convention Bureau was very helpful in providing us with relevant materials for conference organisation as well as advice on local organisation aspects e.g. venues & suppliers recommendations. Additional brochures and information for delegates provided by PCB were also appreciated by delegates. We selected Pan Pacific Hotel as the Conference venue and Fraser’s at Kings Park for the welcome reception venue. Both venues were fantastic and generated very positive feedback from delegates, especially the international delegates. Delegates also commented on the exceptional quality of the food served. We also found the service provided by both venues excellent and the staff whom we interacted with were very helpful and accommodating.”
