Ian Laurance AM
PCB Chairman
Ian spent 14 years as a Member of the Western Australian Parliament and is a former Minister for Tourism, Housing, Lands and Regional Development.
He was appointed by the Western Australian Government as the inaugural Chairman of the Midland Redevelopment Authority ( 2000 – 2004 ) and was previously Chairman of the Western Australian Sports Centre Trust for ten years (1993 – 2003) during which time he was a driving force in bringing the 1998 World Swimming Championships to Perth.
Ian recently resigned as Chairman of Australia’s North West Tourism, a position he held for six years and has since been inducted as a life member to both Australia's Northwest and Tourism Council WA.
In 2006 Ian was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM ) for his services to the Tourism Industry and in 2008 he was awarded the prestigious Sir David Brand Medal for his individual contribution to the Tourism Industry.
He is also Chairman of the publicly listed companies, Arafura Resources Ltd. and Axiom Properties Ltd.

Ian Gay joined Qantas in 1970. He graduated with a BA in Economics and English Literature from Macquarie University in Sydney. During his time at Qantas, Ian has held a wide variety of senior positions, including passenger systems, corporate marketing, overseas management, international alliances and sales. His current position, since February 2000, is Regional General Manager, Western Australia.
Ian is a member of the General Council of the West Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and an Advisory Board Member, School of Business Management, Curtin Business School.
Chris Harris, General Manager, Food and Beverage

Chris began his career with Hilton International in 1981 as a Porter/ Houseman and gained experience in a number of divisions after successfully being nominated to be a Food and Beverage management trainee.
He has worked for a number of hotels, mostly with Hilton International, for 14 years in Australia and also in Japan, Bangkok and Hong Kong.
Prior to his current role he held positions of Director of Food and Beverage, Director of Sales and Banquet and Conventions Manager plus a number of sales roles.
Apart from holding various positions with the Catering Institute of Australia, he has also served on the Board of the Northern Territory Convention Bureau. During his career he has worked on a number of major events, including the Brisbane River Festival and large off-site catering events for high ranking dignitaries.
Dean Lee, Chief Executive Officer

Dean brings over 20 years of local and international experience in eco-tourism and the development and operation of major privately funded tourism infrastructure. His tourism experience is backed by sound academic and professional qualifications and he has an extensive knowledge of governance.
Adam Myott, General Manager

Appointed as General Manager, Hyatt Regency Perth in October 2009, Adam’s career has spanned over twenty years in the hospitality industry having spent time in a number of well known properties both in Australia and overseas.
Educated in Sydney and Adelaide graduating from the University of Adelaide. Prior to joining Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in 1993, Adam gained valuable experience working with other leading hotels such as the Ritz Carlton hotels in Sydney and Double Bay as well as The Regent Sydney.
Adam sits on the Tourism Committee for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA.
Wayne Ticehurst, Principal

Wayne has over 30 years experience in accounting and corporate finance, gained in a number of commercial enterprises. Until July 2010, he was Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Westralian Airports Corporation, the owner and operator of Perth Airport. Prior to this he was Finance Manager for the Federal Airports Corporation from 1992, and before then held a number of senior finance and accounting positions with large companies in Australia, PNG and New Zealand.
Now the principal of WT Business Advisory Services, providing strategic business advice to corporations, including Westralia Airports Corporation.
He holds a Bachelor of Business degree, is a CPA and a member of the Institute of Company Directors and board member of the Industry Advisory Board Polytechnic West.
Karen Priest, Sales and Marketing Manager

Karen has 25 year's experience in the hotel and tourism industry which includes management positions in the United Kingdom, South Africa, Western Australia and New Zealand. In addition to her experience in the private sector, Karen has worked in various Government roles in New Zealand.
Karen has recently been appointed to the Board of the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) WA chapter and also sits on the City of Fremantle Tourism and Business Events Committee and the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce Tourism Reference Group.
Stephanie Lang, Director of Sales and Marketing

Stephanie has been actively promoting Western Australia for over 20 years.
Currently Director of Sales for Seashells Hospitality Group, a position she has held for 10 years, Stephanie is responsible for generating sales, marketing and public relations activities for Seashells' resorts in Mandurah, Scarborough, Broome and Yallingup.
Prior to joining Seashells, Stephanie spent 9 years as Sales Manager UK/Europe for the WA Tourism Commission (now Tourism WA). In this role she was responsible for the advertising, public relations and marketing of WA throughout the UK and Europe. During this time she was directly involved in marketing campaigns including the famous Elle McPherson TV campaign, as well as many international sales missions and road shows.
Stephanie has been a committee member of the Australian Tourism Export Council WA Branch since 2003 and held the position of Chair from 2006 to 2008; board member of Experience Perth 2007 to 2011; a founding Director of Independent Hotels WA, plus a previous marketing committee member of Australia's North West and Tourism Council of WA.
Colin Campbell-Fraser, Principal Adviser External Relations

A graduate of UWA, Colin acquired extensive knowledge and experience in communications and marketing in both the private and public sectors. As a senior journalist with an afternoon daily metropolitan newspaper he covered a wide range of interests including: environment, industrial relations and politics.
From 1985 he accepted appointments with the State Government as media and policy adviser to various Ministers and Premiers. In 1993 he joined ABC Radio in Perth as a producer of morning current affairs.
Since joining UWA in 1996, as Director of Public Affairs, Colin has been actively involved in the University’s social and community life as a member of various committees.
He is currently a Commissioner of Lotterywest; Member of the Governing Council of the Central Institute of Technology; Councillor of UWA's Council of Convocation; and Member of the Advisory Board of the University Club of Western Australia.
Les Corner, National Sales Manager

Les has been in the newspaper industry for over 20 years and is actively involved in the advertising industry. As National Sales Manager of The West Australian, he manages some of the advertising industry's biggest accounts.
Les has worked in a number of roles within the newspaper including Operations Manager, Manager Melbourne office, Classified Manager and Agency Sales Manager. He is a life member of the Perth Advertising and Design Club and was recognised as Perth Advertising Person of the Year in 2006.
Councillor Jim Adamos
City of Perth – Representative on PCB Board
Jim was elected to the City of Perth as a Councillor in October 2011. He has been a long term resident of the city and has worked and owned businesses in the city for over 25 years.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Business degree with a major in Accounting whose focus has been on management consulting and business improvement strategies for various organisations. He has a strong background in the financial services and hospitality sectors. He relocated back from Sydney where he was Head of Operations for a division of an international bank.
Jim is a member of the Council's Marketing, Sponsorship and International Relations, Audit, Employment, Finance and Budget committees, as well as a Board Member of PCB and the Perth Theatre Trust.
